Starting in 1990 - the year in which his "home" was founded in the old family palace in the center of Florence - Lorenzo Villoresi has traced a completely new path in the artistic perfumery sector. The basic philosophy that led to the creation of the collections, divided into real Perfumery and the Home line, is that of the intrinsic value of all the individual materials used for the product. Crystal, Volterra alabaster, Carrara statuary marble, olive wood, Florentine leather and travertine, typical components of the Medici grand ducal factories, have been recalled from the past to revive a precious born art. Retracing the routes of the Tuscan merchants of the Renaissance, in the universe of perfumes by Lorenzo Villoresi, materials, fragrances, colors of Tuscany meet and harmonize with suggestions, spices and essences of the East. Among the components stand out essential oils and sought-after extracts from all over the world that are combined with purely Tuscan elements such as laurel, olive, cypress, the precious and rare Iris root.
The production is still entirely artisanal, according to traditional methods that require patient care, thoughtful times and absolute and continuous attention. The pot-pourri, the extraordinary Piper Nigrum, has become in some way emblematic of the uniqueness, of the absolutely peculiar value of the Lorenzo Villoresi House. Intense aromatic woods, pungent peppers, nutmegs, incense, lost fragrances, mix in an unusual, unusual, original olfactory alchemy.
